About the event
On March 3, we’re thrilled to join a seminar series hosted by Dr. Anna Jayne Kimmel and Professor Sidney Williams, MFA. Artistic Due Process: Collaboration Across Carceral & Cultural Barriers will focus on the established and growing field of theatre with/for/by incarcerated persons, and will interrogate how artists can traverse institutional boundaries to forge deeper collaborations with incarcerated and returning citizens. The seminar will feature a conversation with Artistic Director Lori, a performance by a Community Advocate, and a Theatre of the Oppressed activity.
The invitation comes from a longtime collaborator, Professor Williams, who has partnered with Lori over the years, including hosting a reading of a play written by the youngest man on death row. We’re grateful for this ongoing, evolving relationship and the opportunity to continue building bridges between the classroom and the community.
