REIMAGINING: A VIRTUAL PERFORMANCE

Livestreamed December 12, 2020

Come see an original performance created and performed by men who were formerly incarcerated. This virtual performance will be a series of different scenes, monologues, videos, and more, exploring topics that affect us all through the lens of returned citizens. They ask the question, "How can we make what's happening in the world better for everyone?"

Throughout the performance, there will be a panel discussion mixed in where you'll have a chance to ask the artists your questions. You definitely don't want to miss this powerful look into current issues and a chance to explore what can be different.

A big thank you to the Meyer Foundation and The Diverse City Fund for helping support this event!

WRITE A LETTER!

In partnership with The Justice Arts Coalition and the pARTner project

During this time of isolation and uncertainty, it is more important than ever to remember those in prisons and jails. We are partnering with JAC and the pARTner project to connect people to over 60 incarcerated artists signed up, waiting to be assigned a pARTner. All you have to do is write a letter. Your letters could be a source of connection for someone who would otherwise have none. Click below for more information and to sign up.

INVITED REHEARSAL

POSTPONED - TBD
The REACH at the Kennedy Center

Our returned citizens are creating a new script and you are invited! Join us for a rehearsal to learn more about Theatre of the Oppressed and how we use it to create original performances. Watch (and sometimes participate in) the activities and discussion and see how it all comes together! You'll also be able to meet some of our amazing participants and hear their insights about life before, in, and after prison.

COMMUNITY PERFORMANCE -RETURNED CITIZENS

POSTPONED - TBD
The REACH at the Kennedy Center

Come see an original performance created by men who were formerly incarcerated. Their play explores issues surrounding our prison system, shares personal stories, and brainstorms potential solutions for the future. This project is happening as part of our Culture Caucus fellowship at The Kennedy Center.
